Typography

An assignment whereby we are to design a set of fonts for our friend based on their personality, liking and etc. For this one, I was partnered with a friend of mine who loves rococo design and anything vintage. Originally, it was all pink and purple. Decided to play around with the colour.

Mergence

Mergence is the merging of two different designs; the oriental mandala and the modern line-work. This is a wallpaper design I did for a competition called Surfaced Wall. So proud of my work.

The Twitches

The Twitches are a unique family of haute couturier whereby they uses their pet Angora rabbit’s fur to make the clothing. Don’t worry, they are not into animal cruelty. Yaki, the pet rabbit, has the ability to grow fur at an extensive rate. Not only that, he has the ability to communicate only with Walcott Twitch, the adopted child with blond hair in the family. 

Phobia

An assignment for Illustration Studio where we have to illustrate out our own phobias. I have phobia of sleep paralysis hence this is my interpretation of it.

Differences

This is a comic that I did recently for a module called Illustration Studio 2. It is a typical love story whereby two individuals fell in love with one another at first sight. Due to the differences in their species, they are not supposed to be together. However, they went against that idea. The idea I have back in mind when coming up with this story is that anybody can love anyone despite their colour, race or religion. Take a look at Ange’s and Diable’s cute love story.

Double Vision

For this module, students are to design an image of an object or living thing using just basic or complicated shapes. In this case, I used Victorian/Rococo-inspired shapes to form an image of a racoon. However if you look closely, you can see an image of a tiger too.

Bubbles & flowers

As for this assignment, we must design a cover for paperbags. The reason as to why we chose paperbags is because usually, paperbags are brown in colour and it’s kind of boring. Hence, we decided to breathe life into it by adding a little colour.

Haus of Gauns

Just like the previous design, this is supposed to be the wallpaper design of a fashion boutique. This design will go directly behind the information counter wall.

Haus of Gauns

For this module, I have to design a wallpaper that will be painted in the interior of a shop. I chose to do on fashion because it is one of the things that I like to do and read on. The shop that I’m designing for sells/rents custom-made gowns. Hence, the logo in the middle is actually a repeated pattern of gowns.

Versace Versace

A poster for Versace fashion show to highlight the late Gianni Versace’s success as a fashion designer and also, to showcase iconic outfits designed by him for icons like Princess Diana and Jennifer Lopez.

Rihanna: Live in Singapore

Brief was to come up with an event for an artist or a campaign and design 4 types of ‘products’ to further promote such as poster, postcard, ticket or hanging mobile. Using watercolour and Copic markers for this, retouched using Illustrator.

Elements

Putting elements together to form a picture of a person or a thing. In this case, again, I used Rihanna as my model.
